Nothing could keep us from adventuring out on this very cold frosty morning in late December 2005. The 3 of us [Henk is taking the photos] went to the zoo....

Anyways, where was I? Oh yes, we arrived to an empty parking field & walked over the old cobblled stoned roads though the villiage. Upon entry it wasnt long untilwe found the cafe & headed for some coffee & lunch. Hhmmm a big smoked sausage with patatoe & silverbeet mash... Its the best, you really should try it. :)
There were so many animals... most of them looked out of place, like the elephants should have been in a warmer climate dont you think?
The climax of the day would have to be the Butterfly house. I couldnt tell you how cold it was outside, but when we walked inside it almost knocked us off our feet at approx 30 degrees. We were amazed to see the butterflys feeding off pieces of cut fruit that had been left out on feeding trays.
I didnt know they ate pineapples?
